On August 9, 2021 the Pentagon announced it’s intention to mandate all active duty US military personnel to recieve a COVID-19 vaccine by September 15, 2021. [1, 2]
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin wrote “I will seek the president’s approval to make the vaccines mandatory no later than mid-September, or immediately upon [full approval of the vaccine by the Food and Drug Administration], whichever comes first”.
The FDA granted full approval to the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID vaccine on August 23, 2021!
