Philanthropists set up legal entities called Foundations which they then funnel some of their wealth into, which in turn the Foundation donates to humanitarian causes – or at least that is what we’ve been led to believe.
Foundations which are involved in public affairs are referred to as Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO). A foundation may provide seed money to set up additional NGO’s, which in turn can be used to help direct their philanthropic “causes”. NGO’s have tax benefits, in general not-for-profit NGO’s pay NO tax.
So if an NGO is set up as a non-profit entity or charity, then every dollar received by that entity is100% tax-free. That’s powerful bang-for-your-buck!
The philanthropists also set up legal entities called Trusts. Trusts are a vehicle with which to provide personal liability protection should an investment go bust or the entity gets sued. These Trusts can have a portfolio of stocks which which is a way to invest (and profit) indirectly in companies that benefit from their Foundation’s philanthropic works!
All these legal entities and maneuvers are used by Big Industry for the purpose of avoiding personal or company liability, to capitalise on tax benefits and ultimately to profit. But also they provide a means with which to hide what they’re doing.
So are philanthropists always doing deeds that “come from the heart” or is it more about padding their pockets, controlling politics, media and/or a bigger agenda?
How much control does their philanthropic dollar give them?
Philanthropic endeavours can be highly profitable
Here’s just one example:
Bill Gates, one of the richest men in the world, set up The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) in 1999, with the intent of giving back “to global communities through increasing access to innovations in education, technology, and world health”.
The BMGF is “the largest private philanthropic foundation in the world”, yet only 5% of their funds are openly donated, the remaining 95% is invested through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Trust.
One of the “world health” causes that the foundation focuses on is vaccines. Gates admitted that his potential Return on Investment (ROI) into vaccines is about 20:1. $10 billion invested returns over $200 billion! Decide for yourself what context to take that statement! [ARCHIVE]

September 7, 2016 – Fox Business: Dinesh D’Souza on Clinton Foundation documentary – Author and filmmaker Dinesh DSouza on the Clinton Foundation scandal – WATCH, The documentary – Hillary’s America – HERE
Hillary promotes the foundation as doing good. The foundation gives away approximately 10% of it’s revenue to charity…the lowest of probably any foundation in the world! So ~90% of the foundations resources essentially go to the private behest of the Clinton’s. The Foundation vastly exaggerates it’s accomplishments in it’s reports according to Dinesh.
The Clinton Foundation pays for bills, it has been a very lucrative vehicle to pay for favours!
On a government salary, “in the last couple of years the Clinton’s have gone from zero to $300 million of personal net wealth, and the foundation went from zero to over $3 billion in donations.” Bill Clinton went from getting $150,000 for a speech then up to $750,000 for a 15 minute speech when Hillary became Secretary of State.
