About 80 years ago, as the new corporations began taking over the press, something called “professional journalism” was invented. Professional journalists had to ensure that news and opinion were dominated by official sources. EXAMPLE

- BBC news routinely describes the [WMD Iraq] invasion as a miscalculation. Not Illegal, not unprovoked, not based on lies, but a miscalculation. – similar words mistake, blunder, failure! On May 24, 2006 a NY Times article stated “If we had known then what we know now the invasion if Iraq would have been stopped by a popular outcry.” – [they will probably say the same about COVID-19 pandemic response in time!]
