Dr Mary Talley Bowden is an Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) specialist in Houston, Texas, she completed her residency at Stanford University and is board-certified in both Otolaryngology and Sleep Medicine, specializing in airway disorders for both children and adults.
Six months before the pandemic began she launched BreatheMD a cash-only, practice, so she was not beholden to anyone, especially the insurance companies. Her independence was motivated by her frustration with the current medical model-of-care she experienced during her pregnancies of having 4 boys in 5 years!
When the pandemic arrived her practice set-up suited contact-less COVID-19 testing, and her established relationships with labs meant she had 24-48 hour turn-around for test results – these factors along with being open 7 days a week, meant the sick were able to seeking her services. Upon positive tests results she would direct the sick to their primary care physician, but was shocked when patient said they we either not working or they would not offer any assistance – just go home until you can’t breathe…as per NIH guidelines!
As an ENT, Dr Bowden sort to assist patients with their breathing through the purchase of portable nebulisers, which helped but brought ridicule from her peers, even when they were used in the carpark!
Monoclonal antibodies were used, but they became very hard to get, so Dr Bowden followed the FLCCC protocols using ivermectin etc. and of the more than 4,300 patients treated to October 2022 using early interventions, none have required hospitalisation – statistically (by following protocol) 30 should be dead!
By 2021 she started to see breakthrough cases (vaccinated with COVID-19) who were as sick as the unvaccinated – the vaccine has done nothing to quell their symptoms! She says that 10% of her new patients have on-going, unresolved health issues that are directly related to the vaccine they received – which previous physicians didn’t report to VAERS.
“Fired” by hospital
Along her journey Dr Bowden use twitter to express her freedom of speech. She was shocked when a reporter asked her via text on November 12, 2021 to confirm her suspension of “hospital privileges” from Houston Methodist Hospital (HMH) – they notified the local paper first, then sent Dr Bowden an email, followed by tweeting that Dr Bowden was “…spreading dangerous misinformation which is not based in science.” She was not employed by the hospital, but it was an, in case a patient needed the extra care, kind of arrangement.
Twitter has since suspended her account, and the hospital has slandered her good reputation. She had to hire a PR consultant to assist her to manage the situation. In July 2022 Dr Bowden filed a $25 million defamation lawsuit against HMH.
Dr Bowden is on the advisory team of FLCCC, a member of AAPS, and is co-leader of the Houston chapter of the Free Market Medical Association
