At the Health and Prosperity through Prevention panel, “Peter Sands, executive director of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, laid out plans for entire populations to be vaccinated against several diseases.” “Sands said “long-acting injectable prep” is “functionally equivalent to a short-acting, 100% effective vaccine.” At the Technology in the World panel they laid out their “plans for tech-driven precision medicine, “long-acting injectables,” “climate-sensitive” vaccines, and mRNA therapeutics for non-communicable diseases.” [10]
