US CDC released their own PCR test and in their EUA application on page 33 effectively say the test may not be measuring what it is supposed to be measuring! [1]
‘Detection of viral RNA may not indicate the presence of infectious virus or that 2019-nCoV is the causative agent for clinical symptoms’.
