During the pandemic Deborah Conrad was a Hospitalist Physician Assistant and Advanced Practice Provider for a New York hospital where she worked. She was “very involved in leadership roles” and was well respected amongst the staff, she loved her job, she loved looking after all patients. [1]
Deborah spoke to Del Bigtree on The Highwire in September 2021 about her experience in her hospital, which provides an insight into a NY hospital during early 2021 following the COVID-19 vaccine roll out.
No one told healthcare workers about reporting adverse events following vaccination to VAERS, she didn’t even know that VAERS existed, she had to discover that for herself, and when she did she was shocked to discover vaccine providers were mandated by law to report any adverse side effect whether they thought it was related to the vaccine or not. After 17 years in the hospital system she was shocked she didn’t know this – and that many of her collegues were unaware also. This is not the first time we discover healthcare workers were unaware of VAERS.
As early as January 2021 she witnessed a noticeable up-tick in all manner of adverse health events in people who had been vaccinated, many events happened closely after patient’s were injected. She witnessed a pandemic of ill health among the vaccinated, not the unvaccinated.

January 2021 – Emergency Use Authorised vaccines began rolled out in hospitals and the elderly in Jan/Feb 2021, for staff they rolled out in late December 2020,
“After we started the [vaccine] roll out to the elderly, we’d get elderly with COVID…it was wierd, it was like a week after they would get their first dose they would test positive for COVID.
“…a week later they’re in with pneumonia. I can say for sure in 2021 this is the year for pneumonia, independent of COVID...I’ve never seen so many people with pneumonia…and even in the middle of summer”
