Christian Drosten’s virology lab joins WHO coronavirus genome surveillance network -CoViNet

It was announced on March 27, 2024 that the World Health Organization (WHO) has selected Germany's Institute of Virology at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin as a member of the newly established WHO Coronavirus Network (CoViNet). [1, 2] The Institute of Virology, headed by Prof. Christian Drosten, is one of eleven laboratories in Europe, and 33 laboratories worldwide that analyse SARS-CoV-2 and other emerging coronavirus genomes - the Global network of reference laboratories aim to detect and monitor coronaviruses, in the same way influenza genomes have been monitored for decades for selecting vaccine strains.

Eurosurveillance Corman-Drosten PCR paper published

On January 23, 2020 Christian Drosten and Victor Corman et al publish in Eurosurveillance , just 24 hrs after submission, their paper titled "Detection of 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) by real-time RT-PCR" - the basis for PCR testing globally.  The paper was submitted only 11 days after genome sequence release on Jan 10, 2020, before anyone outside of China In acute respiratory infection, RT-PCR is routinely used to detect causative viruses from respiratory secretions....virus isolates or samples from infected patients have so far not become available to the international public health community." "We report here on the establishment and validation of a diagnostic workflow for 2019-nCoV screening and specific confirmation, designed in absence of available virus isolates or original patient specimens".

Drosten knew PCR test is “not fit for purpose”

A German article from October 2, 2020 reveals that Christan Drosten, the virologist responsible for the WHO PCR test parameters, has known since 2014 of the inherent limitations of the PCR test for "diagnosing an infection". (translated here). A positive PCR test result - designates a person as statistically ill - whether they have symptoms or not! PCR method is “so sensitive that it can detect a single genetic molecule of the virus.”  That doesn’t mean one is infected or infectious. In 2014 Drosten considered “the panic surrounding MERS to be largely media-made.” The more people you test, the more positive cases are reported – yet they are mostly healthy people.  This explains why when case numbers exploded, the death numbers did not follow.

WHO publish “first unified” global framework for investigating novel pathogens with pandemic potential

On September 4, 2024 the World Health Organization (WHO) led by their Scientific Advisory Group for the Origins of Novel Pathogens (SAGO), who were established in late 2021, announced a publication of their new and "unified" "global framework" to "define and guide studies into the origins of emerging and re-emerging pathogens with epidemic and pandemic potential". A quick word search of the document reavealed no mention of lab/laboratory "leak", "escape" or "gain of function" or "dual" use research. But there is a chapter titled "Laboratory biosafety and biosecurity element" which was developed in collaboration with the WHO Technical Advisory Group on Biosafety that covered a "possible breach of laboratory biosafety or biosecurity" that "may be caused by an accidental event or a procedural or engineering failure that results in the infection of staff working in a laboratory, when they are handling animals or collecting and handling specimens, either in a field or laboratory setting".   The framework DOES NOT cover "the deliberate or intentional release of pathogens from laboratories", nor the intentional functional manipulation of viruses "studied" in laboratories. The WHO is holding on strongly to the "zoonosis narrative " for novel viruses with pandemic potential, even though the SARS-CoV-2..> READ MORE

First annual World Health Summit is held in Germany

The first annual World Health Summit (WHS) was held October 15-18, 2009 in Berlin, Germany.  The summit was initiated in March 2009 by the French and German governments, in partnership with Pfizer.  It is a "forum to bring together an international array of eminent researchers, physicians, and representatives of government, industry, and health care systems" for the "evolution of medicine". A welcome message in 2009 given by Australia's Prime Minister Mr Kevin Rudd.   [1, 2] The forum is to address those health related issues which challenge physicians, scientists, political leaders and those employed in the health care industry. "Among these are health-related consequences of climate change, international pandemic strategies, and the impact of the financial crisis on global health and health care." [3] The World Health Summit was founded by the President (2009-2020) Prof Dr Detlev Ganten, to coincide with the 300th anniversary of the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin [home of Christen Drosten], to bring Germany back on the medical breakthrough's map and celebrate the likes of Robert Koch, Rudolf Virchow, von Behring and more who "greatly contributed to the advent of modern medicine." [7, 8] Each year in October a WHS is held. The M8 Alliance of Academic..> READ MORE

Asymptomatic transmission of virus is claimed – setting of global alarm

On January 30, 2020 a case study report from Germany is published with Christian Drosten as one of the many "authority" authors, claiming transmission of the novel coronavirus occurred between an asymptomatic contact and infected another.  This set off alarm, fear and panic around the world, triggering mass PCR testing, contact tracing of everyone and forced quarantining of the healthy - something never done before! It was later revealed that the Chinese lady was actually sick when visiting Germany, but had used medicine to suppress her symptoms, so not actually asymptomatic - and it seems no one bothered to ask!

WHO establish global coronavirus genome surveillance network – CoViNet – for new vaccines etc

On March 27, 2024 the WHO launched the WHO Coronavirus Network (CoViNet), a global network for coronavirus genome survailance. [4] The CoViNet network replaces the "WHO SARS-CoV-2 Reference Laboratory Network", which was established by the WHO in January 2020 which had the initial objective to provide confirmatory testing to countries with no or little testing capacity" but extended to genome sequencing! "In order to be able to monitor not only SARS-CoV-2 but also other coronaviruses in the future, the WHO has now expanded the scope and objectives of the reference laboratories. ...Further, they are to enhance capacities for the identification of novel coronaviruses. Worldwide, 33 laboratories have been selected by the WHO as founding members of the CoViNet network." [1] On the same day Prof. Christian Drosten's lab in Germany becomes one of the first labs worldwide to sequence coronavirus genomes to assist in determining the next (no doubt seasonal)  COVID-19 spike protein antigen strain for the COVID-19 mRNA "vaccines" spike protein gene sequence.   [1, 2] "Monitoring will no longer be limited to viruses circulating in humans, but will increasingly be extended to animals and the environment." "The objective of an update to COVID-19 vaccine antigen composition is to..> READ MORE

WHO signs MOU with Germany for WHO Pandemic Hub

On May 5, 2021 Germany launched the new global Hub for Pandemic and Epidemic Intelligence (commonly called the WHO Pandemic Hub), which opened in Berlin September 1, 2021. Then on September 1, 2021 the WHO and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin signed a Memorandum of Understanding agreeing on "long-term strategic cooperation and mutual support in the WHO Hub for Pandemic and Epidemic Intelligence"  As a founding stragegic partner they're developing a joint work plan. [1, 2] "The Berlin WHO Hub is to be a global platform for pandemic and epidemic education that creates a shared and networked access to essential cross-sectoral data and promotes innovation in data analytics. The aim is to create a new basis for prediction, prevention and detection, as well as to prepare and respond to global health threats" [1] With initial investment of US$100 million from the Federal Republic of Germany, and house out of the Charité's Institute of Virology headed by Prof. Christian Drosten, "the WHO Hub is part of WHO’s Health Emergencies Programme and will be a new collaboration of countries and partners worldwide." May 20, 2023 the WHO Pandemic Hub launched the WHO International Pathogen Surveillance Network (IPSN) - as a global network to..> READ MORE

Germany RKI upgrade COVID-19 risk, without evidence

(In Retrospect from Freedom of Information (FOIA-like) documents).  On March 2, 2020 Germany's Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the equivalent to CDC, started to buckle under pressure from outside forces and without any evidence upgraded the COVID-19 risk from 'low to moderate' to 'moderate', despite its own labs having tested 140 samples for SARS-CoV-2 and ALL tests coming back negative. #RKIFiles On March 2, 2020 German Health Minister Jens Sphan appeared before cameras flanked by Professors, including Christian Drosten, to talk-up the Corona threat!  Further on March 3rd and 6th, collectively 293 more samples came back negative for the virus, but German politicians kept speaking up a non-existent threat. [1, 2] Then following the March 16, 2020 release of the Imperial College's (flawed) modelling, plus carrot of funding, the RKI protocol was altered on the basis of a (redacted) outside force.  Then on March 17, 2020, RKI's head Prof Lothar Wieler announced the risk assessment level has been "high".  "The upgrade of the risk assessment was... the legal foundation of all coronavirus measures." On March 22, 2020 Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel announced Germany must lockdown, with 2 person rule, justified on the basis that coronavirus is spreading “further with worrying speed",..> READ MORE
