On February 13, 2025, President Donald J. Trump issued Executive Order (EO) 14212 to establish the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Commission to be led by the new Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. The commission was “tasked with investigating and addressing the root causes of America’s escalating health crisis, with an initial focus on childhood chronic diseases”, and to launch as strategy to make improvements within 180 days.
