TGA issued a permission for States to advertise vaccines

On November 18, 2019 the TGA issued a permission that now allows States and Territories to advertise vaccines for public health reasons.  Previous legislation specified each disease (column 2) now any State declared “serious form of a disease” can be used to justify the promotion of a vaccine. The “Commonwealth” legislation was repealed for this new “Government” legislation which now provides provision for State Vaccine Advertising Campaigns.  Setting the stage for COVID-19 vaccine advertising by each State and Territory of Australia in 2021.
