The Milgram Shock Experiment

Testing Obedience of the Individual to Authority Figures

In July 1961 Stanley Milgram, a psychologist at Yale University, began an experiment to study obedience to authority figures. The aim was to see just how far participants (the “Teacher”) would go in obeying an instruction if it involved harming another person. – READ, WATCH, BACKUP, EXCERPT, Patrick Byrne – COMMENT

The experiment showed that two thirds of people can be talked into being fully compliant to an authority figure, even when it meant inflicting harm on another person, even though their conscience is telling them otherwise. The experimenter (the authority figure) would use “a series of four prods” to test obedience

Psychological Operations (Psyops)

Definition: psyops (From the US Department of Defense)

“Psyops are the use of propaganda and psychological tactics to influence emotions and behaviors.”

The US Department of Defence (DOD), Counterinsurgency Operations Reports define “psyops” as the following:

“The mission of psychological Operations (psyops) is to influence the behavior of foreign target audiences to support US national objectives. A psyop accomplishes this by conveying selected information and advising on actions that influence the emotions, motives, objective reasoning, and ultimately the behavior of foreign audiences. Behavioral change is at the root of the psyop mission.”

Read that last sentence again. “Behavioral change is at the root of the psyop mission.”

At the heart of a psyops operations are behavioral tools or mind control techniques such as hypnosis, mass formation, censorship, security theatre, use of fear to drive anxiety and propaganda.
