Australian COVID-19 Royal Commission ToR Inquiry begins
On February 1, 2024 Australia began a Senate inquiry to draft the terms of reference (ToR) for a future Royal Commission to investigate the government's response to the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia. [1] On October 19, 2023, Senator Malcolm Roberts of One Nation put a motion before the Senate to set up a committee to produce the Terms of Reference for a COVID-19 Royal Commission, something the party suggested in February 7, 2022 because of the failed pandemic response.
